First Appearance: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe Played By: Rupert Everett One of the talking animals of Narnia, the Fox was born during the reign of the "White Witch"- Jadis, the self proclaimed Queen of Narnia. At some point prior to the arrival of the Pevensie children, the Fox was recruited to join Aslan's army of "rebels" seeking to take back Narnia and free it from her endless Winter. One of his responsibilities was to personally find new troops for their cause. "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" The fox met the Pevensie children (Susan, Lucy and Peter) outside Badger's house, where he hears Peter ask what had happened after seeing the stone statues of the former residents. He answers, telling them that "this is what becomes those who cross the witch" and creeps out of the woods where he had been watching them and stands outside one of the higher up houses (that have been cut into the mountain). Mr. Beaver has to be restrained by Mrs. Beaver, who angrily snaps that "you take one step closer traitor, I'll chew you to splinters." However the Fox laughs this off and tells him to "relax" as he was "one of the good guys." Beaver is unconvinced and points out that he "looked an awful lot like one of the bad ones," but the Fox remarks the it was an "unfortunate family resemblance". Hearing Maugrim and his secret police trying to pursue them through the barreled off tunnel, he tells them that they have to move and slyly smiles when Peter questions what "he had in mind". Acting as a distraction while the Pevensie children and Beavers hide in a nearby tree, the Fox greets Maugrim with an enthusiastic good evening and politely asking if they had "lost something" while the rest of his pack circle him. Maugrim harshly barks that he shouldn't "patronize me" and declares that he knew whose side he was on. He tells them that he is looking for the children and gets furious when the Fox jokes about that being "valuable information". He is attacked by one of the wolves, who bites his flank and lifts him off the ground for Maugrim to interrogate further. He darkly tells him that his "reward is his life" and mockingly tells him that it "isn't much". Asking him again, the Fox tells them that the "fugitives" have gone North. He is tossed aside as the pack continue their hunt. Mrs. Beaver tends to his wounds as the Fox explains about how the animals had been "helping" Mr. Tumnus before the police and the Witch had gotten to them first. Lucy asks him if he was "alright" and he replies rather jovially that "he wish that he could say that his bark was worse than his bite", but yelps in pain. Mrs. Beaver demands that he stops "squirming" and compares him to Beaver on his bath day (who makes a side note that it was the worst day of the year). He thanks her for her help, but tells her that he is unable to get any more aid as his mission to get more troops needs to be completed, telling Lucy that it had been both "a pleasure and an honor" to meet them. The Beavers ask him excitedly what Aslan was like and he declares like he was everything the old stories had made him out as being. He comments that the children should be happy to have Aslan on their side during the upcoming war, but Susan defiantly says that they weren't going to battle. He asks them what they intended to do about the prophecy and Mr. Beaver says sadly that they can't go to war without them. Peter tells him that all they wanted to do was get Edmund back. Leaving the children as they went to Beruna, the Fox began gathering more of the Witches enemies to join the army in the Shuddering Wood, but was caught by Maugrime. He was dragged before the Queen, who sarcastically thanks him for telling them the wrong direction the children had went in and mockingly tells him that "it was nice of you to drop in." The fox begs forgiveness to "your majesty" and the Queen orders him not to "waste my time with flattery." However he defiantly answers her by saying that he wasn't being "rude" but "he wasn't actually talking to you" and looks in the direction of Edmund. Realising what he meant, she angrily demands where the "humans" were going but he doesn't answer the question. Edmund stops her advancing on him by telling her that they were heading to the Stone Table, thinking it would save his life, but only ends up to making him sigh and shake his head in disappointment. She thanks him and happily tells him that "it was nice for this creature to see some honesty... before he dies." She uses her wand to turn him into stone mid bound to Edmund's protest. She smacks him across the face telling him to "think about whose side he was on" directing Edmund in the Foxes general direction to show him what she saw in her eyes was the losing side. He is brought back to "life" and is present at the children's coronation, where he stands beside the lioness (that Edmund had drawn on when he first arrived at the Queen's place) at the front of the hall of Cair Paravel. He joins in with the cheering, laughing at the lioness' face that has been permanently drawn on with a piece of charcoal.
First Appearance; Guardians of the Galaxy (Cameo) Played By: Fred the Dog A former canine member of a U.S.S.R Space program that originated on the planet Terra (known to the locals as Earth), Cosmo was somehow obtained by the Collector-Taneleer Tivan, who locked him behind a glass display case and made him one of the exhibits in his private Museum on the mining colony of Nowhere (in the severed head of a Celestial). "Guardians of the Galaxy" During Star-Lord, Gamora, Groot and Rocket's visit to the Tivan Museum- the home of the "largest collection of Fauna, Relics and Species of all manor"- to sell him the Orb, Cosmo is alert in his exhibit and growls at Rocket as he passes the display case. Rocket retorts in the same fashion, but leaves him barking as the four outlaws (not yet official the Guardians of the Galaxy) follow Carina to meet the Collector. After Carina's attempt to kill Tivan with the Power Stone backfired, causing her body to disintegrate and then explode in a blast of purple energy that tore through the museum and destroyed much of the building and the exhibits, Cosmo managed to survive the blast and scampered off into Knowhere. Returning to Tivan later, Cosmo begins licking the Collector's face while the recovering owner is drinking. He doesn't receive a reaction and pathers off while Howard comments that it was "gross" that Tivan would "let him lick you like that."
First Appearance: Guardians of the Galaxy (Cameo) Played By: Seth Green A being taking on the form of an anthropomorphic duck, Howard the duck was one of the many specimens that Taneleer Tivan had obtained and put on display in his private museum in the head of a Celestial that became the mining community of Knowhere. "Guardians of the Galaxy" Howard was one of the many exhibits that the Collector had on display when Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket and Groot arrived to sell him the Orb. After the discovery that the Orb was a containment unit for the Power Stone, Carina grabbed the stone in order to use it's powers to escape from his services and kill her master. The energy releases and the explosion that tore through her body destroyed much of the museum and his collection. Howard managed to survive the attack and sat watching his "owner" in the remnants of one of the old exhibits holding an identical green cup that Tivan was drinking from. When Cosmo licked Taneleer's face, Howard questions why he would "let him do that" and calls it "gross" in a very disgusted tone, taking a long drink from the cup.
First Appearance: Guardians of the Galaxy (Cameo) One of the four cosmic beings that lived before the Universe even existed, Infinity along with the others forged the Infinity Stones out of the energy formed by the explosion that brought the world into existence. She was the sister of Infinity and the aunt to Entropy. She is the representative of the entirety of space and is one of the main factors that keep the survival and balance of the Universe. Due to her role of keeping life in order, she is the enemy of Death. "Guardians of the Galaxy" She was depicted on an ancient stone mural that had been created in the ancient temple of the planet Morag. She is shown to be on the bottom right hand corner opposite Death during the creation of the Infinity Stones. The mural is later seen during the Collector's explanation of when and how the Infinity Stones came into existence, showing a hologram of it and the stones to Groot, Gamora, Rocket and Star-Lord.
First Appearance: Guardians of the Galaxy (Cameo) One of the four beings that existed before the creation of the Universe, he is the son of Eternity and nephew to Infinity. He is driven by destruction, which means he is in a constant struggle with his father who is responsible for creation. Yet they managed to balance their powers to create a stable cycle of creation and destruction. He along with the other three entities were responsible for the formation of the six singularities that would eventually become the Infinity Stones. "Guardians of the Universe" He is depicted in a mural- that was built in the temple of Morag by the ancient civilisation of the planet- creating the Infinity Stones. He is shown opposite his father, Eternity on the top right hand corner. The mural is shown to Rocket, Star-Lord, Gamora and Groot, while Taneleer Tiivan explains the origins of the Infinity Stones and how they were created.
First Appearance: Guardians of the Galaxy (Cameo) Eternity is one of the four cosmic beings that created the six singularities that would eventually become the Infinity Stones before the creation of the Universe. Eternity was said to represent all of time in the universe and has the ability of temporal, chronal, energy and matter manipulation. He is the sister of Infinity and the father of Entropy. Due to the nature of Death and her representation of vengeance, they are enemies as he represents the opposite; "necessity." The brother and sister make up two of the most important factors in the survival and balance of the Universe. "Guardians of the Galaxy" In the temple of Morag, the ancient civilisation created a mural that depicted the forging of the six Infinity Stones by the four cosmic entities. He is shown to be on the bottom left hand corner opposite his son, Entropy. The mural is shown again by hologram during the Collector's explanation of the creation of the Infinity Stones to Gamora, Star-Lord, Rocket and Groot.
First Appearance: Guardians of the Galaxy A stone mural depicting the Four Cosmic Entities and the creation of the Infinity Stones- just after the creation of the Universe- from the energy that was expelled by the explosion, that was located in the ancient temple vault on the planet Morag (where the Orb had been hidden.) "Guardians of the Galaxy" When Star-Lord broke into the Temple Vault on Morag to retrieve the Orb for the Broker (although going behind Yondu's back- who had arranged the deal) he saw the mural etched onto the floor. During the fight with Korath the Pursuer, the Orb is knocked from his hand and hits the floor and rolls on top of the Mural.
While Taneleer explains the origins of the Infinity Stones, he shows Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket and Gamora a hologram of the mural (whether or not the picture is taken from the temple is unknown, but the mural is identical).
First Appearance: The Avengers (Mentioned only) A group of four cosmic beings that lived before the Universe itself was even created; Death, Entropy, Infinity and Eternity were the forgers of "the six singularities" that would eventually become the Infinity Stones- The Energy of the creation of the Universe compacted into "six concentrated ingots." "Guardians of the Galaxy" Inside the Temple Vault on the planet Morag- where The Orb had been kept hidden- the ancient civilisation who created the structure etched a mural that depicted the four Cosmic Beings and the forging of the Stones. When Taneleer Tivan was explaining the origin of the Infinity Stones to Rocket, Star-Lord, Gamora and Groot (before the Guardians of the Galaxy became an official team), he shows them a hologram of the same mural as well as several of the stones.
